Overload / Underload Drill

Step 1: Overload - Swing a heavier Speed Stik (Red)
in a continuous motion back and forth for 20 to 30 seconds.
Build up to a comfortable speed in that time frame.
Step 2: Underload - Swing the lighter Speed Stik (Blue)
in a continuous motion back and forth for 15 seconds.
With the lighter Speed Stik you want to swing as aggressively
as you can on BALANCE. This part of the drill is designed
to program your mind for speed. Your mind senses the
speed, hears the noise associated with speed and sees
the "blur" of speed and internalizes all these
sensations related to the drill. It's dynamic
- trust your sensations and enjoy the experience!
Step 3: Hit 4 or 5 balls with a driver immediately following
the under-load portion of this drill. Just make
normal feeling swings and trust that the speed will
be there.
Step 4: Repeat the drill 3 times. Total balls hit will
be 12-15. Total
swinging time will be under 2 ½ minutes. Repeat this
drill 2-3 times a day initially. You will experience
immediate positive results, certainly very noticeable
in just 3-5 days and in many cases sooner.
